Lutherans have a rich heritage which focuses on the arts. The fine arts program at Trinity provides a safe, nurturing environment for young, Christian artists to develop their skills and enhance their love of the performing, visual, and digital arts. Trinity has a team of teachers, experienced in the classroom and in the field of their profession, who are committed to excellence. Whether students want to learn a new instrument, sing in one of the vocal ensembles, or produce something in our digital media lab, there is something for every student who walks through Trinity’s doors.
The Early Childhood Music program at Trinity seeks to expose our youngest students to musical concepts including beat. rhythm, dynamics, tempo and singing in unison and rounds. They learn about instruments, composers and musical genres. There is a lot of singing, creativity, movement and learning that happen in class. The goal is to lay a strong foundation for the child's artistic and creative skills, so they can excel in whatever they do going forward from here.

The Elementary Music program seeks to expose students to music from various stylistic periods and cultures around the world. Beginning with the youngest students on campus through Fifth Grade, the Elementary Music program gives each grade level an opportunity for exploration, improvisation, instruction, and performance of the different aspects of music. All students utilize Trinity's Digital Piano lab having the opportunity to not only learn more about piano but try their hand at composing new music! Kindergarten through 4th grade students put on a musical each spring which involves staging, costumes and full lighting. Fifth Graders enter the world of competition and performance at L.E.S.T. (Lutheran Elementary Schools Tournament) as well as participate in a curriculum designed to prepare and excite them for their future Fine Arts opportunities in Middle School. As with all the arts, Trinity’s program strives to be pleasing to God and teaches our students to share the gifts He has given to the school, church, and to the community of Bend.

The Middle School Music program emphasizes the idea of working hard as a team and competing in a Christ-like manner. With performances throughout the year and competitions like LEST (Lutheran Elementary Schools Tournament), our middle school students are able to put these ideas in action. All middle school students take a music class each year with a different focus, (6th Grade - World Music, 7th Grade - European Music, 8th Grade - History of Rock and Roll). In addition, students are given the opportunity to choose from a wide variety of classes and performance ensembles. Between the music ensembles, drama opportunities, digital arts and other classes, there is something for every student that walks through Trinity's doors.

There are many ensembles to choose from with plenty of performing opportunities throughout the year, including an annual Choir Tour to somewhere in the United States. Both choirs have placed at District Festivals and the Concert Choir has gone to the OSAA State Choir Competition the past two years. High school students have many opportunities to get involved onstage and behind the scenes and all students are welcomed and encouraged to participate in some aspect of theatre production. Digital technology is a tool for artistic expression and visual creativity. Trinity’s Digital Arts program emphasizes the teamwork and creativity needed to be successful in digital media. With a state of the art media lab, Trinity has the ability to give high school students access to some of the most current technology out there. In all the arts, Trinity’s program strives to be pleasing to God and teaches our students, preschool through highschool, to share the gifts He has given to the school, church, and to the community of Bend.
